Introduction

Arts Council England is looking for a new Chief Finance and Resources Officer, to join the Executive Board and Senior Leadership Team. This is a key role in bringing to fruition the Arts Council's strategy 'Let's Create' and vision to create a country in which the creativity of each of us is valued and given the chance to flourish, and where every one of us has access to a remarkable range of high–quality cultural experiences.

The role

The CFRO will be confident in leading our Finance, HR, IT and Estates teams, and representing the Arts Council to a wide range of stakeholders including government ministers and senior civil servants. They will need to be fully across the detail, while at the same time seeing the bigger picture, and comfortable generating new ideas to meet the challenges of what can often be a complex and fast changing creative environment.

This is a highly strategic role, right for someone who thrives at the centre of the action, who is energised by working in an organisation with a strong sense of shared purpose and helping deliver a big vision. The leadership of the finance and central resources teams is at the heart of this role, and it also means being involved in every aspect of the Arts Council's work and playing a part in all its key decisions.
