CFO to join a fast-growing PE-backed B2B business

Marks Sattin Executive Search is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join a fast–growing PE–backed B2B business based in Essex. Working alongside the CEO and a supportive PE house, you will drive significant transformations and improvements within the business to realise its potential.

Acting as a valued business partner and leader for the finance team, the CFO will be responsible for rebuilding, reorganizing, restructuring the finance function. Responsibilities include overseeing and improving all financial aspects, and implementing strong systems, processes, and controls to commercialise and professionalise the business. This will add strategic, operational, and commercial value, ensuring detailed and incisive reporting, analysis, and forecasting is delivered to the highest standard. Ultimately ensuring the business fulfils its ambitious growth strategy for a supportive PE partner.

You will act as a role model to the finance team, where strong leadership and strategic qualities drive the transformation of the finance function.

Excellent communication skills will strengthen relationships with investors and business partners, championing the success of the business for key stakeholders.

This is a great opportunity to a lead the transformation of a valued finance function of a growing business, working with a supportive PE partner on one of their key investments.

The ideal candidate:

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACMA, ACCA)
• An autonomous CFO or FD with experience in a PE Backed business
• A track record of implementing and improving accounting systems, processes and management information and financial reporting.
• Be proactive and entrepreneurial with exceptional interpersonal skills, and be a skilled communicator.
