Finance Director job for a high growth retail/wholesale company based in Brixton paying GBP75,000–GBP90,000
Your New Company
You'll be working for an award winning SME retail/wholesale business based in Brixton that have grown exponentially over the past 2 years and have ambitious growth plans over the next 5. They believe in environmentally sustainable and ethically traded products and support reinvestment in local communities across the world either directly or through their supply chain.
Your New Role
You'll be working as a Finance Director reporting directly into the board and will play an instrumental role in helping the business grow commerciallt as well as guiding the financial strategy and controls business partnering a variety of key stakeholders. Your duties will include;
- Financial controls and reporting
- Commercial finance analysis and FP&A
- Lead a finance team of 3, ensuring all responsibilities across the team are delivered to a high standard, and team members are developed
- Contribute to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions, providing financial analysis and guidance on allinitiatives and projects
- Lead the planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, working with the business teams to define ambitious goals and KPIs which will lead to delivery of businessstrategy
- Lead an effective performance management process, with reporting against targets which is insightful and drives to better business outcomes
- Own the company's cashflow management, including timely and accurate forecasting
- Maintain a high–quality control environment, ensuring systems and processes are robust, compliant, allow for future growth, and ensure all statutory and taxrequirements are met
- Support the Chair in managing investor relations and reporting
- Ensure the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met, including B–Corpand Carbon Neutral accreditation
What you'll need to succeed
You'll need to be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent with experience of leading month end and year end processes. You'll have a proven track record of helping a business develop and grow ideally within a high growth retail, wholesale, hospitality or food and beverage business.
What you'll get in return
You'll be paid GBP75,000–GBP90,000 plus bonus and pension with 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) as well as mental health days and charity days. You'll be given the opportunity to report directly into the board and really leave your mark on the business as well as shaping the finance function as you see fit as the business grows. On top of this, you'll also be provided both breakfast and lunch whilst on site with both flexible and hybrid working available.
