Senior Internal Auditor
My client is looking to bring on an ambitious internal audit professional with excellent senior stakeholder management skills, who is looking to assist the Senior Audit Manager in developing an internal audit function and progressing further within the business.
As a Senior Auditor, you will work directly with the Senior Audit Manager and will be responsible for managing the delivery of the audit plan, with a portfolio of audits. You will support on the reporting on integrated assurance activities and support the production of an annual written assessment of the adequacy and effectiveness of the companies risk management, internal control and governance processes and systems.
You will also champion the use and development of Data Analytics within the audit function.

You will:
- Support the Senior Audit Manager and Head of Internal Audit in developing the risk based annual Internal Audit Plan.
- Carry out end-to-end audits (where needed with input from the Senior Audit Manager), including determining audit scope, carrying out test plan, drafting audit reports, and ensure sufficient workpapers are in place to meet the guidance of the IIA Standards and CIIA Code.
- Work alongside co-sourced providers, ensuring that the quality and timeliness of audit planning, fieldwork, data analysis, audit work papers, and reporting. Coordinate with other control and monitoring functions (e. Risk management, Compliance).
- Follow up periodically on closure of audit issues.
Ideally you will have:
- Internal Audit or relevant financial services or big 4 experience.
- Experience of using and developing Data analytics within the Audit function setting.
Desirable:
- IIA is desirable but not essential
- Insurance / Reinsurance / Pensions and Asset management direct audit experience preferred.
- A demonstrable understanding of the UK regulated financial services industry.
