This is an umbrella brand for two of our specialist construction product distribution businesses – Minster and Jewson Civils Frazer – who provide specialist solutions such as insulation, dry lining, fire protection, fa??ade, roofing, and ceilings as well as civils, infrastructure and utilities solutions. Proven commercial experience and success at a senior management level from a construction product / building distribution / merchanting background (desirable) Committed to sustainable continuous improvement, an agent for change who navigates systems and processes with ease Skilled at critical thinking, problem solving, complex decision–making and the interpretation & extrapolation of data Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills Great coaching skills to engender the right behaviour in colleagues and identify what gets in the way What is the core purpose of the role? In this exciting new role, reporting in to the Commercial Director, you will be working in partnership with numerous stakeholders at all levels from branch to Exec (Sales, Category, Pricing, Finance, Digital and IT teams) to deliver the very best outcomes in terms of improvements in commercial disciplines, processes, system configurations and the development of new solutions or tools to improve our commercial position now and in the future. You will: Act as a specialist business partner supporting the respective priorities of each brand, working collaboratively across sales and commercial teams in the business. Own responsibility for commercial improvement plans and gain support for execution; translating plans into actions in order to deliver tangible end results. Collaborate with colleagues at all levels to identify and prioritise issues and opportunities and propose solutions to improve the business commercial position Accelerate sustainable profitability through digital and automated processes and develops improvement plans to optimise the use of commercial data in the business. Enhance Management information in areas of product and category reporting Build and maintain relationships internally across the Contracts Division and wider Saint–Gobain Building Distribution network and support services. Support the introduction of new products/services/ranges/solutions and maintains the execution of commercial development plans for target ranges/opportunities Identify, prioritise and project manage system developments and/or optimisations in their use to improve the business commercial position.
