The Head of Reputation will advocate and narrate Orbit s external profile and reputation through the management of corporate, colleague and stakeholder communications. You will lead the team in the management of content, PR and media activity for the Group to include corporate reporting, presentations, EVP, issue management and crisis communications. You will work closely with Orbit s Executive Team and Director of Communication and Brand to shape key messages that are used to influence stakeholders. Develop and deliver a PR strategy plan that positions Orbit according to our key business priorities Build Orbit s brand and national reputation around the core objectives of our corporate strategy Lead the PR and Communication team, managing all aspects of corporate / group / public relations, including national, regional and trade media management Oversee reporting from share of voice, competitor audits and media coverage Work with the External Affairs team to manage briefings and communications to be had with key stakeholders including government representatives Lead our EVP storytelling to position Orbit as a leading workplace experience Work closely with Orbits leadership on crisis and issue management Responsible for drafting or commissioning corporate documentation including annual report, gender pay and ESG reports Ensure the group website content remains current, engaging and maintains an authentic narrative Work to achieve consistency and compliance with writing standards for content, stye and tone of voice Develop and continuously improve our approach to corporate social media Oversee the budget and all aspects of appraisal and performance of the Communications and PR team As a part of Orbit s leadership team, you will be a member of the Incident Management Structure and partake in Orbit s emergency out of hours rota. What will help you make a difference. You will be a seasoned communications professional with experience of corporate communications and PR within a reputable brand or within an agency relied upon by clients in the B2B arena. Educated to degree level with relevant professional qualification in journalism (NCTJ/NUJ) or public relations (CIPR) Proven ability to write high quality communications for a variety of audiences Experience of producing core corporate documents Proven leadership within complex organisations with a high degree of political acumen and judgement Highly critical thinker, good analytical and problem–solving skills and ability to think creatively and strategically Experience of developing PR strategies and using digital and print media to promote a corporate reputation or brand Passionate and driven to take accountability to deliver change that leads to successful business outcomes A willingness to travel/stay away for work purposes on occasion We know that an inclusive environment makes us more accessible and ensures we attract, engage, promote and retain great people.
