The Finance Manager role is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing construction firm based in the City of London. Reporting directly into the Head of Finance the role will support day to day running of the finance department up to Trial Balance with opportunity to develop into Management Accounting. Client Details The client have seen rapid organinc growth over the previous 3 years and are looking to add to their growing finance team. A commercial contracting business that work almost exclusively with insurance claims specialising in subsidence, flood and fire damage. This role will be initially based in the office 5 days a week with potential to go to 4 after probationary period. Description The Finance Manager will be responsible for the following: Maintain records of financial transactions, establishing accounts, posting transactions Preparation of Monthly accounts Balance sheet reconciliations Commission calculation Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling transactions Maintain and balance the general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries Maintain historical records/filing documents Prepare financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information and trends Tracking expenses per project Inputting and reporting of total contract values and cost budgets into Sage VAT returns Prepare and file monthly CIS returns Making account payment including reconciling supplier invoices and statements. Profile The successful Finance Manager: Accounting or related financial qualification Experience of Sage 50/Xero Minimum 3 years in similar bookkeeping role, ideally within construction Proven experience and knowledge of taxation (CIS , DRC PAYE) Analysing information Reconciliation of all BS accounts Intermediate Excel skills Job Offer The successful Finance Manager will be entitled to a salary of GBP38,000 – GBP43,000 depending on experience along with these other benefits: Progression and development Professional training Potential for hybrid working
