Senior Systems Engineer; Requirements

Role– Senior Systems Engineer; Requirements Location – Coventry (3 days home working) Benefits– Extra holiday, Enhanced pension scheme, Flexible & home working, Healthcare, Life Insurance Overview This role is with an Tier one supplier, that designs powertrain products for EV vehicles. You'll help define product requirements from different stakeholders globally, and the engineering team. Your day to day Requirements management and requirements engineering activities Ensure system level requirements traceability to software and hardware technical specifications Managing requirements verification & validation strategies, evidence gathering & support evidence reviews Establishing and reporting requirements related to metrics Compliance matrix development Tailoring and application of engineering initiatives, best practices, and quality processes Contributing to Continuous process improvement Contributing to technical planning activities Your background Around 5 years experience in system engineering environment, with a focus on safety critical product development Previous experience working as part of an engineering requirements team implementing and managing requirements across the full development lifecycle Ability to operate both at a strategic and tactical level, with a willingness to engage directly to resolve detailed technical issues. Working knowledge of industry standard requirements management tools, DOORS or Polario or Spiratest, or similar Desirable skill set: Familiar with automotive standards for functional safety, such as ISO26262, IEC6150, IEC60730 Familiar with high voltage battery pack and battery management systems (BMS) Familiarization of processes under quality plan: change request management and configuration management Ability to derive requirements for Battery pack/ BMS from customer product specifications Experience in the Automotive or safety regulated environment would be advantageous. Experience working collaboratively across a large team to achieve business improvement objectives Experience of planning, estimating and defining engineering tasks.
