Interim Director of Housing Delivery will act as the lead officer providing strategic policy direction and leadership, operational management and financial control for our client services and any associated functions. The Interim Director of Housing Delivery will support in holding the housing development company to account for the development and delivery of its housing programmes through the strong client. To lead on investment bids and ensure that grant funding and other external funding opportunities are maximised and that contractual expenditure targets are met and that programmes are delivered on time and on budget and achieve high–impact outcomes. The Interim of Director Housing Delivery will be ensuring that high standards of probity and governance are always maintained and ensure Business Plan is a sound, robust, and resilient strategic plan that is well aligned with strategic objectives and goals. The Interim of Director Housing Delivery will maintain a strategic risk register relating to all risks associated with and actively manage risk mitigation strategies in conjunction with and report corporately on a regular basis on risk management to the Shareholder Committee and SLT. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Significant senior strategic management experience, including translating organisational drivers into strategic objectives, longer–term plans, new ways of working and specific outcomes, for a portfolio of services in a large public sector organisation (preferably local government). Proven ability to manage a wide variety of activities across a range of professional areas of expertise and oversee the achievement of the organisation s strategic goals. Extensive knowledge of the major issues facing local government, particularly in the areas of housing, planning, and regeneration. Extensive and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the national policy context, requirements, and future direction for relevant service areas. Experience in commissioning and clients' significant programmes of work; including contract management skills and knowledge and understanding of procurement, construction, and land acquisition and assembly. Experience in leading funding bids; assessing different financial models; options appraisal; scenario testing; and knowledge and understanding of commercialisation, registered providers, and different housing delivery routes. Indicative Qualifications Educated to degree level or equivalent standard. Postgraduate qualification. Relevant professional qualifications desirable
