Job Purpose:
We are opening a new office in Cardiff City Centre and need an exceptional and accomplished Legal Director to join our senior management team. You will work closely with our Managing Director and existing Legal Directors to grow and support the daily management and leadership of our Conveyancing Teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee all personnel across the Conveyancing teams and cohorts, ensuring all departments have sufficient personnel resource and are achieving their performance targets.
- Plan and coordinate administrative procedures and systems and devise ways to streamline processes.
- Oversee the assessment of staff performance and provide coaching and guidance to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Ensure the smooth and adequate flow of information within the company to facilitate other business operations.
- Manage a variety of ongoing projects whilst ensuring all required deadlines are achieved.
- Ensure all conveyancing team operations adhere to company policies and regulations.
- Keep abreast with all organisational changes and business developments.
- Act as a point of contact for employees within the administrative and conveyancing teams including supporting all individuals with Training and HR queries as they arise.
- Support the Recruitment Manager with recruitment of administrative and conveyancing team roles including drafting job descriptions, reviewing candidate CVs, and attending interviews.
- Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance is achieved across the conveyancing teams.
- Providing leadership, strategy, and direction to the business and all departments as required as a member of the Directorial leadership team.
- Effectively managing our customer service delivery functions including resolving escalated complaints, dealing with LEO matters, and providing training to members of the team as required.
- Supporting with the design of IT systems to complement internal conveyancing practices and procedures.
- Working with other industry leaders and trade bodies in changing the way we convey and in preparing for the digital future.
- Attend all company Board Meetings in a Directorial capacity.
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in a Senior Management position within a fast–paced and paper–free Conveyancing firm.
- Exceptional technical conveyancing knowledge and experience with training, managing, and mentoring trainee and experienced conveyancers.
- Previous experience creating and implementing office/department/technical policies and procedures.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google software including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sheets, and Docs.
- 5 years PQE with current Practising Certificate.
