Required experience and skills (These will be used as the shortlisting criteria) Key Skills: Proven ability to adapt your approach to identifying business requirements to meet the needs of the programme, capture the outputs of the analysis and present it to colleagues and senior stakeholders in an appropriate format. Ability to organise, plan and to manage progress against plan to achieve successful outcomes. Developed communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively with a range of high–level clients/stakeholders and create and maintain effective working relationships. Strong problem–solving skills with the ability to anticipate problems and resolve issues independently, planning solutions and making sound pragmatic decisions. Qualifications and/or experience: 3+ yrs experience as a Business Analyst across multiple sectors Knowledge of property or building projects including the capture and analysis of accommodation requirements. Required Experience of identifying user requirements for IT systems, supporting the procurement process and overseeing acceptance testing Required Creation of requirements capture tools to facilitate their interpretation in an appropriate manner for the requirements of the programme or project. Required Experience of using MS Office 365 tools including teams, SharePoint and the standard office suite – Desirable Working as part of a programme team. Desirable Creation of or contribution to business cases. Desirable Knowledge of Local Government – Desirable Key responsibilities Responsible for managing change and updating the accommodation requirements for the council, working with all stakeholders to ensure that the captured requirements are correct and that opportunities to minimise workspace have been explored. Analysing changes to requirements to assess impact and work with the relevant teams to identify resolutions Review the requirements for the Booking System and support the selection process. Ensure that the delivered product meets the defined requirements and Follows user acceptance testing culminating in user sign off. Work with IT service and Facilities Management to define and implement a supporting service for the booking system. Contribute to risk management, working with the programme team to identify, capture and mitigate risks. Identify and report issues as they arise. Provide a quality assurance function for any solutions or options proposed, ensuring that there is clear traceability from proposed solution to requirements. Be an ambassador for Smarter Working, assisting the programme to promote the concept and help staff to think clearly about their requirements without being constrained by old attitudes and ways of working
