Interim Senior Pharmacy Services Manager

Need a new challenge? An exciting opportunity has arisen with Asprey Medical Services. Asprey Medical Services Ltd is seeking an Interim Senior Pharmacy Services Manager / Deputy Chief Pharmacist on behalf of our client in Jersey.

Start date – ASAP. Duration – TBC.

Purpose of roleYou will be accountable for providing operational and strategic leadership across all pharmacy services. You will ensure that the needs of care groups and patients across the island are met by delivering a high quality, professional pharmacy service.

Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:Essential:

• A minimum of 8 years post–registration experience in Hospital Pharmacy Practice, 5 years of which must have been at a senior clinical level within a managerial role.
• Vocational four year master's degree in pharmacy, plus Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (obtained by completing one–year–post graduate pre–registration training followed by passing the General Pharmaceutical Council registration examination.
• Post–graduate MSc in Clinical Pharmacy.
• Post–graduate Management/Leadership qualification.
• Extensive expert knowledge of pharmacy and all aspects of hospital pharmacy practice.
• Highly developed specialist knowledge and experience leading and developing pharmacy services, including pharmacy IT and robotics systems.
• Demonstrable experience of developing staff and teams.
• Significant experience in clinical governance, particularly medicines governance.
• Experience of leading audit / evaluation / research of specialist area.
• Experience of pharmaceutical quality management systems, including Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
