We have a brand new opportunity for a dedicated Health & Safety Business Partner to lead the H&S agenda across our Readymix Business. If you are located so you can support the North Midlands and North sites and looking for a multi–site role with Full UK / National scope in a highly valued and visible position, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a large business and showcase your capability across a broader stage. Working alongside our Senior H&S Business Partner, you'll support the Director of Health and Safety and the Executive Committee member to lead the delivery of the company s Health and Safety agenda and longer term strategy. You will partner and provide value adding technical, specialist, Health and Safety support and guidance to the operational business whilst working in partnership with other functions, including the HR Leadership Team and other Business Stakeholders. Be able to demonstrate leadership experience within a Health & Safety function, with proven experience of leading effective Health & Safety initiatives. Extensive knowledge of effective Health and Safety management strategies and best practice, with a detailed knowledge of current legislation and its application in a Quarry / Manufacturing environment. Holds (or working towards) a recognised professional safety qualification e.g. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, iema foundation course. Holds (or working towards) Chartered status to the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH). Excellent written and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and challenge constructively. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across the H&S team and wider business. Able to demonstrate effective team working and networking skills. Highly motivated, with proactive approach, improvement and solution orientated and ability to work independently using own initiative. Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload.
