Prospectus is delighted to be supporting Uplift to recruit its first Chief Operating Officer. Uplift is helping to move the UK towards a fossil fuel–free future. They strategically resource, connect and elevate ideas and voices to set in motion a just transition away from fossil fuel production that is commensurate with the scale of the climate crisis. This will be a permanent position that can be performed remotely with occasional travel. It can be performed 4 – 5 days per week. Uplift has grown rapidly over the last 18 months and is now in a position where they need to introduce operational leadership into the organisation. The COO will be responsible for the effective management of the organisation, including its financial strategy, people strategy, governance and operations. You will act as a strategic partner to the Executive Director and will ensure that our work is underpinned by a sustainable financial and organisational model. In all of your work and relationships, you will reflect Uplift's core values and principles of care, collaboration, and boldness in our strategy. The successful candidate will be an experienced operations professionals with experience of working at a senior strategic level. You will be a committed leader with experience of developing effective financial strategies as well as overseeing and delivering on the day to day. You will ideally have experience within charity operations as well as developing and implementing a range of operational policies across an organisation.
