Holt Executive is working with a leading technology innovator servicing the global aviation industry, offering cutting edge products to some of the biggest names in commercial aviation. They are recruiting an experienced Diagnostics Systems Engineer to join their team in Crawley, West Sussex. You will be responsible for undertaking tasks as directed associated with configuring, customising, maintaining, supporting, modifying and developing the Diagnostics Systems on our client's product range. Key responsibilities for the Diagnostics Systems Engineer – Aviation: Software configuration, customisation, maintenance, support, modification and development. Analysis of hardware systems and associated interfaces. Support of Integration, Validation and Verification activities on our client's products. Support of Software Baseline Management activities. Travel to provide diagnostics services on customer sites, typically overseas. Key requirements for this Diagnostics System Engineer – Aviation role: A suitable degree or equivalent (with mathematics, science or engineering content) or a minimum 2 years appropriate experience in industry. Some exposure to or experience of the C programming language syntax and constructs would be beneficial; please note that this is not a C programmer / developer role. Exposure to or experience of Perl scripting would be a bonus. Experience of use of software configuration management systems such as Git. Ability to extract information from technical documentation such as schematic diagrams and OEM programming manuals. Displays energy, drive, agility, and resilience in achieving work–related goals. Compensation package for the Diagnostics Systems Engineer – Aviation role: Competitive salary of up to GBP50,000.
