As the Plant Controller for this manufacturing company based in Sunderland, you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Division's finance department and to provide the senior management team with financial and commercial support.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo be responsible for the day to day operations of the finance department.
Individual Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve financial controls and processes with Divisions
- Preparation and production of annual budget and monthly/ quarterly forecasts
- Ensure SOX compliance at the Division
- Preparation of sales and EBIT roll for review
- To review business profitability and the product and total level
- To develop profitability reporting to manufacturing area giving a 'value added' dimension to production reporting.
- To report fixed expenses to budget managers
- To prepare forecasting, budgeting and ad hoc profitability exercises
- Carry out any other tasks commensurate to the role
Essential Criteria:Must be qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), preferably CIMA
- Production of producing full management Accounts
- Experience performing actual to budget and forecast analysis
- Detailed knowledge of UK GAAP
- Strong internal Control background, preferably SOX or JSox
- Experience using of SAP
- Introduced business and KPI improvements
- Extensive use of PPV and FX analysis
- Demonstrate problem solving to drive continuous improvements
- Hands on approach
- Demonstrate team work skills and promote a positive work environment
- Experience working in manufacturing environment
Salary – GBP60–65kDiscretionary bonus – 10%Car AllowanceHours are 37.5 hours per week – 8.30 to 5pm Monday to Friday and 8.30 to 2pm on Fridays (half an hour lunch break each day with the exception of Fridays)Holiday entitlement is 25 days per annum plus bank holidays Pension scheme – up to 4% company contribution
