Panoramic Associates are working with our local authority client to recruit an Interim Finance Analyst.

This role offers fully remote working on a full time basis for 6 months, GBP500 per day Outside IR35 and the client would welcome someone who can start asap.

Main Responsibilities (will include but not limited to):

  1. Identify and document the issues with the current processes and management of services, charging, payments, collections, re–charging for services.
  2. Review the social care finance, charging, brokerage, commissioning team structures and provide a documented recommendation to redress the current fragmentation of these teams and to implement a structure with clear, over–arching control of social care finance.
  3. Identify where all financial data is held – currently in a variety of system and manual locations including in the current case management system CIS, in spreadsheets, and in the Corporate Finance systems.
  4. Identify and document any issues and discrepancies in the data held across the various systems.
  5. Advise on whether the financial data is 'fit for purpose' for migration to a new case management / financial system – identify any 'gaps' in the data and provide a roadmap on how to address any inaccuracies, discrepancies, gaps, and errors.
  6. Verify the quality and accuracy of existing financial reports and their appropriateness for use on reporting of financial status and forecasting.
  7. Undertake Financial Reviews such as savings, funding arrangements, care package expenditures, commissioning block and spot contracts and other aspects of social care payments to establish deliverable savings initiatives.

Essential experience:

  • Finance analyst experience within a local authority for a minimum of 3 years
  • Experience working on a similar project/programme
  • Relevant qualifications or equivalent work experience
