Our client is responsible for Capital Works Engineering projects on Top Tier COMAH fuel storage terminals throughout the UK. This is a strategic role overseeing the delivery of the Major Capital Projects and driving improvements to all areas. Are you an experienced Engineering Manager or Programme Manager, with experience of delivering projects in a COMAH regulated environment? Salary: GBP80–90,000 basic Location: Remote/Home Based plus UK wide and some overseas travel The role: You will provide management, leadership, and vision to ensure the business safely meets its medium–term and longer–term objectives. Accountable to the CEO for transition project planning including the delivery of major capital projects, to ensure such projects are completed in full, in time and within budget. Providing management and direction to multi–disciplined professional engineers and projects support personnel across assets managed by the Agency. There is a need for strong leadership and to build strong working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders. Participate and contribute to the development of corporate strategy and business unit strategy. Translate the Corporate Strategy into actionable operations plans and execute them. Lead and drive key business growth projects. Define and plan project programmes. Coordinate project activity with the Senior Leadership Team members and external stakeholders. Communicated project information to relevant parties. Accountable for all aspects of the Projects Team delivery of Capital Projects and provide regular feedback to the Board, other Senior Leadership Team SLT members and project key stakeholders. Ensure the organisation delivers the Projects effectively and efficiently across the assets and driving the team to safely deliver against the agreed time and budget constraints. Lead the Projects Team to design, implement and deliver the objectives of the projects as defined in the Business and Strategic Plans and as approved by the Board. To drive forward improvements for all areas of project delivery. To ensure new projects are COMAH compliant. To validate the necessity and cost effectiveness of all major capital investment works and monitor project progress to completion against clearly defined and contracted safety, time, quality, and cost parameters. To ensure compliance of all aspects of the projects with all regulatory and statutory provisions for operation and maintenance criteria. Your profile: You must hold a relevant Engineering degree or equivalent and desirably be a Chartered Engineer, with at least 5 years relevant senior management experience, preferably within a COMAH regulated industry/operation. You will be able demonstrate excellent communication skills together with leadership/people relationship capabilities, in particular team management, have a solid understanding of good project management principles; able to act as an "intelligent client", with a working knowledge of LEAN 6 Sigma. Ability to develop new ideas and solutions and have an awareness of current and new emerging technologies together with knowledge of legislation relating to a high hazard industry and able to lead on engineering design and installation in a hazardous area process plant environment. Travel will be a regular feature of this role, with some to overseas facilities we manage, so a passport and a full (preferably clean) driving licence is essential
