Our client is a highly successful, insights driven global sales business working with well recognised brand names across various industry sectors. Due to some internal moves within the HR Team, the business is looking to appoint a highly dynamic and credible Head of HR to support business transformation, change projects and effective business partnering across the organisation. Reporting into the People Director, the successful candidate will have the gravitas to influence effectively at all levels of the business, executing a robust but people orientated approach to the delivery of a fresh, forward–thinking HR service. Please note: This is a full time, permanent role and the working hours are 37.5 per week. The office location is Thame, Oxfordshire, and the business operates a hybrid working model (3 days office and 2 days homebased).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively across the organisation by developing effective relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Work on business strategies and the associated HR plan to ensure employees have the skills and resources required.
  • Propose relevant solutions to HR challenges.
  • Provide sound advice and support on senior HR issues in accordance with employment legislation and using commercial acumen.
  • Review and lead changes around HR processes and policies to mitigate risk, and improve efficiency.
  • Lead the wellbeing team and agenda, ensuring an effective strategy is in place that meets the needs of employees.
  • Ensure a continuous focus on talent and succession planning within all business partner groups working alongside the talent Team.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Management level HR experience in a fast–paced, commercial environment is essential.
  • Exposure working within a matrixed organisation within FMCG, Retail, Sales or Marketing led industries is highly desirable.
  • Good working knowledge of employment legislation, ideally Level 7 CIPD qualified.
  • Enjoy the embracing continuous business change, working at a fast pace with a degree of ambiguity, but an open mind.
  • Highly influential when partnering with a business, with the gravitas to work confidently at Senior Management level to inspire, coach and shape the future business positively.
  • Proven People Management skills are essential – the ability to lead and manage a team and develop capability.
  • Experience of working within an 'outsourced' business model or environment is highly advantageous, but not essential.
