Lambeth currently operate Hybrid working (working in the office/ working from home) dependent on the needs of the Service.

Lambeth Adult Social Care is seeking an experienced adult social care manager to take on the key role of Head of Safeguarding Adults and Quality Assurance. This post will put you at the forefront of the service, working closely with other senior managers and both internal and external partners.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to demonstrate operational and strategic leadership.

Lambeth is diverse and vibrant including Waterloo, the South Bank, Vauxhall, Streatham and Brixton; well known for its multicultural communities, bustling markets and the creative energies of its residents. There are excellent public transport links both within and outside Lambeth.

Key duties include:

  • Leading the Safeguarding Adults and Quality Assurance Service.
  • Advising the independent Chair and members of Lambeth Adult Safeguarding Board.
  • Overseeing the strategic development and implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring there are systems in place to monitor and ensure that the work of adult social care is being delivered safely and is of good quality.

Essential Requirements

The role requires a qualified social work professional, able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of working within adult social care and providing leadership.

You will have significant experience in leading safeguarding interventions and supporting effective social work practice. You will be outcomes focused, skilled at building and maintaining relationships and confident in your ability to model the behaviours expected of others.

Candidates must hold a Professional Social Work qualification and registration with the professional body (HCPC).
