About Our Client Our client is a forward–thinking, vertical farming business looking to expand its growing operations. Currently specialising in leafy salads and herbs, they are focussing on trials to ensure the highest quality crop is grown at the best price with plans to expand extensively in the coming years and are beginning to look at other crop types to develop. As a result, we're looking for a Manager of Plant Science to join the team. About The Role Based in the Midlands south of Birmingham, the research facilities are on course of relocating from Redditch to a brand–new site in Worcester. You will have direct management responsibility for the development of crop recipes using our development facilities to grow plants in as cost–effective a way as possible. You will be establishing and running crop trials to identify optimum growing conditions. You'll lead a team of crop technicians in planting, husbandry, and collection of data. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a plant scientist who is experienced in commercial growing to take ownership of the crop development pipeline. You will be confident in managing and analysing data and be confident in managing budgets and cost control. Communication is key, as you will be working closely with other departments, developing a team and reporting to the directors. How To Apply Apply below!
