Sales Director Robert Walters is excited to be working with Detectronic Ltd to recruit a Sales Director based at their headquarters in Colne, Lancashire (flex/agile working available) Background Founded in 2007, Detectronic are a fast–growing business with ambitious plans to grow on an international scale. They have a reputation for bringing highly effective and innovative wastewater flow and quality monitoring products to market, helping to deliver positive environmental benefits including the prevention of flooding, reduction of pollution and improvement to rivers and bathing waters. Summary – Sales Director Role Reporting into the Managing Director, the Sales Director will have overall responsibility for maintaining and increasing the sales of Detectronic Ltd products globally, leading the Sales, Marketing and Technical Support Teams and collaborating with the NPD team to aid the launch of new products to market Key responsibilities Manage and grow business with existing customers and channel partners Develop a pipeline of prospects and leads and increase the conversion rate to new customers Prepare quotations for larger opportunities Contribute actively to defining the product and marketing strategies. Lead trade shows, conferences and sales meetings Provide regular analysis and insight based on keeping up to date with key customers, industry trends, economic indicators, and competitors. Establish a monthly and quarterly sales plan, identifying sales objectives and activities and report progress to the board at agreed frequency Assume personal responsibility for account management of key clients and ensure consistent high standards of account management for all customers Ensure timely and effective response is given to customer enquiries, complaints or requests Measure and report performance in as required by the board Skills/experience required for the Sales Director role Extensive B2B Sales management experience ideally within the utilities sector Proven ability to grow sales in the UK and internationally Team Player with a positive "can–do" attitude Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at board level Possess a good understanding of marketing Experience of working with product and marketing teams Able to influence at Board/Senior Level Coaching and Developing staff Experience in sales of sensor and telemetry products is desirable Package on offer Base salary circa GBP80,000 OTE GBP100,000 Car/allowance(Further information will be given upon request) If you are interested in this excellent Sales Director role click apply now or contact Lee Carey for further information
