HSE Manager - Interim and permanent

HSE Recruitment are currently exclusively working with a leading service and transportation company on the recruitment of a HSE standalone Manager. This is as a regional position which will cover England, Scotland and Wales looking after important government accounts. As a result you will need to be very comfortable with industries that focus on legislation and compliance, so ideal backgrounds would be something like nuclear, oil and gas, prison service, etc. We are looking for both a permanent and contract professional for this role which can be based from Glasgow or Manchester. As a HSE Manager the remit for the role is large, from Bridgend across to Birmingham, and Midlands up to Scotland. The ideal candidate is someone who can really get into the detail, influence at senior level, and work to strict guidance as there isn t much room for manoeuvre amongst client regulations. The role will involve overseeing the H&S governance meetings and framework, whilst coaching and leading to make sure engagement with safety is high. You will be responsible for review of safety audits and evaluations, and will also monitor the environmental data, and assist with development plans. The ideal candidate will be based from either Glasgow or Manchester, and must be very open to extensive travel. Work from home is available and you will control your own diary. There is a larger team but the role sits independently reporting into the exec and will work closely with the quality and compliance team. For this role we can be open to professionals who are ready to step up into a regional manager role, and can look at NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent). and upwards. The permanent role will require security clearance. In return you will receive a salary up to GBP55k per annum, plus car allowance.
