Financial Controller

iMultiply are working in partnership with a growing manufacturing business on the position of Financial Controller based on the outskirts of Edinburgh offering a competitive salary of GBP65,000 plus an excellent company benefits package.

The Role

The position of Financial Controller can consider candidates looking for a full or a part time position. The role will report directly to the CEO and will support the overall team and be responsible for maintaining financial records and for providing relevant financial information to key stakeholders across the business

To be considered you must possess strong technical accounting skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders right across the business including interaction & participation with several high value projects. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a commercial business

On Offer

The role of Financial Controller will offer a salary of GBP65,000 FTE plus a highly competitive benefits package. The offices premises are based on the outskirts of Edinburgh and easily accessible via public transport with parking facilities onsite. The role is suitable for candidates looking for 4 or 5 days per week and will offer some flexible working to allow for supportive working relationships and a healthy work life balance.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

• Production and presentation of monthly management accounts
• Cash Flow control and planning
• Involved in Financial due diligence
• Annual Budget Preparation
• HMRC filings including monthly VAT returns
• Preparation of the year–end accounts and supporting annual audit
• R&D Tax Credit Computations
• Finance business partnering with non–financial departmental managers
• Financial management of engineering project costs
• Product costings and pricing
• Reviewing business contracts including dealing with international import & exports
• Accounting transaction processing to Purchase Ledger and General Ledger
• Manage Bank Accounts and make payments to suppliers
• Report weekly sales, interrogate CRM system, email sales invoices and manage debtors
• Payroll & Pensions Administration

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

• Qualified Accountant (ICAS, ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA) is essential.
• Strong technical financial accounting skills, with previous experience in a top 10 audit firm very desirable
• Proactive self–starter with proven ability to problem solve complex issues.
• Must have sound knowledge and expertise with core IT packages including advanced use of excel
• Excellent communicator and strong team player.
• Presence of character to command respect and build productive and collaborative working relationships at all levels
