An excellent career opportunity has arisen for someone with aspirations to be a Finance Director with an entrepreneurial FTSE 100 property developer in London.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance professional to join a high profile property developer reporting to the PLC Executive board and taking a leading project management role in the company s operational activities. Reporting to the Regional Finance Director, the opportunity is a highly commercial position for an experienced, qualified accountant with a broad experience base to work with the lead Directors, Heads of Department and other key staff to take on a senior role to drive all financial aspects of the planning, control and delivery of the current and future development sites across West London.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Ownership of financial planning and oversight of revenue and cost reporting
  • Setting of annual budgets, and forecast updates for each site through 6–monthly stack updates.
  • Ownership of revenue, profit and cash delivery. Liaison with other departments to ensure budgets are delivered.
  • Oversight of procurement and sub–contractor package awards to ensure best value.
  • Oversight of commercial controls to ensure correct and accurate cost reporting
  • Cash control and management
  • Management and reporting of key business risks including forward sales, customer deposit payments, procurement budgets, construction programmes and sales completions.
  • Data analysis to highlight key business risks and mitigation strategies
  • Driving execution of commercial property sales, lettings and management of commercial tenants
  • Oversight of estate and legacy matters to ensure swift and fair resolution of any issues on completed buildings
  • Meeting with internal and external auditors
  • Preparation of monthly board reporting
  • Maintaining the consolidated profit and cash forecasts.
  • Driving improvements in financial reporting across the business
  • Ad Hoc FP&A work
  • Liaising with both internal and external auditors.
  • Sales budgeting and reporting analysis

Applicant Requirements

  • Degree Educated
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified (or equivalent)
  • Ability to review, dissect and appraise complex information and legal documents
  • Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, with the ability to develop and enhance complex financial models.
  • Comfortable working in a site/office based environment, with flexible working when required
  • Excellent communicator both written and verbal
