My client are a global freight forwarder looking for an experience Business Development Manager to join their successful team. You MUST have previous experience in the freight forwarding industry and a MINIMUM 3 years experience in the Pharmaceutical sector.

Daily duties will include:

  • Focussing on developing new high target accounts and identifying new potential customers, building strong new business pipelines and taking the lead on larger opportunities
  • Working pro actively with target customers to improve supply chain and use of company products
  • Provide innovative and profitable solutions that solve customer issues
  • Ensure RFQ's are actioned in a responsible manner
  • Meet agreed KPI's for business development activity
  • Produce and analyse management reports and attend management meetings
  • Manage, participate and lead meetings that achieve new business results
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and company regulations

Skills needed:

  • Ability to find and develop business for new and existing customers
  • Key understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements of the pharmaceutical sector
  • Proven solution design and problem solving skills
  • Good network and influencing skills
  • In–depth understanding of freight forwarding
  • Flexible with regards to business travel as and when required
  • YOU MUST have a minimum of 3 years experience in pharmaceuticals and cool chain sector and extensive knowledge of all transportation modes for import and export
