My client are a global freight forwarder looking for an experience Business Development Manager to join their successful team. You MUST have previous experience in the freight forwarding industry and a MINIMUM 3 years experience in the Pharmaceutical sector.
Daily duties will include:
- Focussing on developing new high target accounts and identifying new potential customers, building strong new business pipelines and taking the lead on larger opportunities
- Working pro actively with target customers to improve supply chain and use of company products
- Provide innovative and profitable solutions that solve customer issues
- Ensure RFQ's are actioned in a responsible manner
- Meet agreed KPI's for business development activity
- Produce and analyse management reports and attend management meetings
- Manage, participate and lead meetings that achieve new business results
- Ensure compliance with statutory and company regulations
Skills needed:
- Ability to find and develop business for new and existing customers
- Key understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements of the pharmaceutical sector
- Proven solution design and problem solving skills
- Good network and influencing skills
- In–depth understanding of freight forwarding
- Flexible with regards to business travel as and when required
- YOU MUST have a minimum of 3 years experience in pharmaceuticals and cool chain sector and extensive knowledge of all transportation modes for import and export
