Head of Commercial

Our client are currently recruiting into a Head of Commercial level opportunity which will lead a team that are delivering commercial solutions predominantly across the Corporate / HR / Professional Services categories. Leading a commercial function that work across planning, commercial strategy, sourcing and contract management this opportunity would suit procurement / commercial professionals who can work across the full category lifecycle and have a track record in developing commercial strategies, market engagement, senior stakeholder engagement and team leadership.

Key deliverables include:–

• Team leadership and management, including coaching and capability development
• Deliver 'best in class procurement and contract management activities through pro–active business partnering across a wide senior stakeholder community
• Possess excellent communication and consultative skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders / suppliers.

About you

The successful candidate will ideally bring a blend of the following:–

• Strategic procurement / category management experience, ideally within either HR, Corporate or Professional Services spend areas
• Outstanding stakeholder management skills, including ability to engage, influence and positively challenge in highly complex environments
• Experience in leading, managing and developing the capability of commercial teams
• A track record of thought leadership, ideally within a changing and ambiguous environment.

This role attracts a salary of up to cGBP120k + bonus and can be contractually based out of either North Yorkshire, Tyne and Wear, Norfolk or Lanarkshire with the flexibility of home / office working.
