The Role
- To be a trusted advisor and provide business partnering support to the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) business unit. This role will support the MMS Country Business Leader (CBL) and their commercial teams.
- Gain meaningful insight into the underlying drivers of sales performance, using insights gained to challenge assumptions and inform decision–making. Identifying and elevating opportunities for driving growth (revenue and profitability), identifying opportunities to invest / reduce costs, setting business goals and performing pricing analysis/contract review to support profitable growth.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Understand and Communicate the Direction of the Business – Gain meaningful insight into the underlying drivers of sales performance, through the administration and analysis of sales management tools (e.g. pipeline reporting SFDC, PowerBI) and facilitation of information flow (e.g. key upcoming deals, wins, losses). Use insights gained to challenge BU assumptions and highlight potential upsides or downsides to projected results.
- Forecasting and Budgeting – Take the lead to ensure all commitments in these areas are met in an accurate and timely manner. Work with the CBL, marketing and sales managers to build Bottom–up forecasts/budgets based on analysis of underlying performance and sales funnels. This role will be responsible for loading forecasts/budgets into a consolidation tool (BPC) and preparing financial slides to support BU reviews.
- Informed Decision Making – Perform detailed insightful and coherent analyses to inform tactical decision making in–country and help the business to manage risks, leverage opportunities and deliver on financial commitments.
- Pipeline – support the sales team with SFDC reporting and insights to help manage the pipeline on a monthly basis to ensure best practice and visibility of the future opportunities.
- Sales Targets – Work with the sales team to allocate sales targets and provide feedback during the target setting process (i.e. in advance of budget); Translate region/country sales targets to local sales quotas.
- Segmentation and Territory Management – Work with the regional sales managers and wider team to review/update customer segmentation and align on existing territory design & optimization.
- Strategic Planning – Participate in strategy formulation working closely with CBL, Marketing, Sales Managers and Clinical. Lead / drive the process to ensure that we effectively manage the end–to–end processes and meet all set European deadlines and commitments.
- Support Profitable Growth – Perform pricing analysis/contract review and profitability/deal modelling. Working with the business to optimise pricing practices and deliver on pricing goals. Manage rebates, commitment discounts and pricing adjustments ensuring processes are adhered to.
- Process Improvement – Ensure the development and ongoing management of a suite of monthly reports and provision of analytical tools to meet the standard information and analytical needs of the business unit.
- Support Inside Sales – work closely with the UKI Inside Sales Business Partner to meet the needs of the Inside sales team to provide insights and analyses that will enable the team to maximise revenue growth and deliver on business objectives.
Experience we are looking for:
- Professional Financial Qualification e.g. ACCA, CIMA
- >3 years commercial business partnering experience supporting large complex businesses
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Strong communications skills, able to clearly communicate complex information and ideas
- Consistent record of delivering results and driving profitable growth
- A strong team focus, able to contribute effectively in a collaborative working environment
- Ability to explain complex issues clearly and concisely and make recommendations for improvement
- Experience of managing and developing others (advantageous) – This role has 1 direct report
