JOB OVERVIEW

The Global Head of Technologically Enabled Teaching, Learning and Assessment (GHTLA) is a key role in the Learning Effectiveness Team (LET). The role holder will work closely with Heads of Curriculum and other sections of the LET to ensure that the curricula developed has a fit–for–purpose TLA strategy that is of high quality and is embedded in all of our learning platforms (face–to–face, blended and fully online). The role will ensure continuous improvement of our student outcomes including progression, continuation and performance in our courses and modules, whether they are fully face–to–face, blended or fully online. The Learning Effectiveness team s function is to support the delivery of a high–quality and holistic approach to education for all our student cohorts. This role sits in the Curriculum Office and the focus of the team is to support quality and effectiveness in our curriculum and teaching and learning, supporting excellent student outcomes for students based in international study centres, colleges, learning hubs and managed campuses as well as students studying via online modes. By using evidence–based approaches to teaching we promote innovation and research, whilst seeking continuous quality enhancements to support excellent student success outcomes.

The GHTLA will be responsible for fostering an ethos of continuous improvement to ensure all learners experience high–quality teaching and learning, throughout the learning platforms (face–face, blended and fully online). The role holder will be researched focussed and promote a culture of excellence and innovation in teaching and learning, ensuring staff have access to up–to–date knowledge and thinking in respect of the latest teaching and learning strategies. The GHTLA will work closely with the network team of Teaching and Learning Champions to develop, implement and review the College s Teaching, Learning and Assessment Strategy. The role holder will support the effective development and monitoring of the quality of teaching and learning across the global organisation.

As well as the face–to–face curriculum mode of delivery, the CO is responsible for delivering a completely digital mode of delivery. These digital courses are developed for delivery via the insendi learning experience platform, so it will be expected that you quickly become an expert user to fully understand the student, faculty and administrator experience for the courses that you are developing.

Most importantly, we are looking for a team player. Your work in the Curriculum Office is interdisciplinary with colleagues that need to develop consistent curricula but you will work with other colleagues in the Learning Effectiveness team, for example, Teaching and Learning, Quality. You will also work very closely with the Product team who will be responsible for publishing the curricula. In particular, you will work with the learning and digital designers to ensure that what is developed can be made as a digital product. Outside the Learning Effectiveness and Product team, you will be collaborating with our global network of centres to ensure that the curriculum is appropriate for the students and for the requirements of our partner university. Our success and the quality of the curricula we produce is only possible thanks to the collaboration and working environment that exists within our CO and the wider team of our organisation.
