Our client is a privately owned and recently investor backed specialised B2C consumer lending business. The business is well established and boasts of a strong ethical reputation which is important in this market and sector. The business is poised for further expansion and has demonstrated through the pandemic that it’s offering is essential for ‘business as usual’ for many. The CEO is now looking to hire a CFO to partner him on an exciting journey of further growth and expansion.

Key responsibilities:
  • To oversee the Finance function and related activities
  • To provide financial models for new and existing business opportunities
  • To provide meaningful analysis for the Board and SMT of all management information and data related to business activities
  • To add strategic value at Board level
  • To establish strong relationships with investors, banks, auditors and other third parties
  • To report to the appropriate regulators (FCA) To ensure that systems are fit for purpose and that financial data is robust and relevant for the business to enable commercial decision making
The ideal candidate does not need to have previous experience of a private equity backed organisation although it would obviously be helpful. Furthermore the CEO will consider applicants from a variety of sectors but would certainly like to see evidence of service industries on a cv. This is a Board position so the successful candidate will need to demonstrate suitable levels of gravitas and confidence but again, the client is open to this being a first time Board position as long as candidates display appropriate interpersonal skills.
