Cubiq Recruitment have partnered with an exciting R&D company in London who are at the forefront of developing state–of–the–art electric vehicle charging and other key EV infrastructure for next–generation transportation. The company in question are looking for an experienced Electrical Systems Technologist to take ownership of key systems conceptualisation, architecture and development.
Your key responsibilities in this role would be looking at infrastructure for EV charging systems and working closely with vehicle manufacturers to analyse and assess systems requirements. Furthermore, you'll be tasked with calculating energy usage and metering solutions, and mitigating key safety risks to ensure complete infrastructure reliability.
In addition to a formal qualification (BEng, MEng, PhD, etc) within Electrical Engineering, Physics or a similar technical discipline, you'll be able to demonstrate the following:
A minimum of 5 years experience within Electrical Systems Engineering, preferably within the EV market, electrification, battery charging or a similar industry
Knowledge of power transmission and distribution
Knowledge of battery back–up systems
A good appreciation of utilities interfacing and working with substations and transformers
Execution of full project operation and delivery
Working closely with external suppliers and customers (knowledge of key businesses in the EV market would be beneficial) In addition to a competitive salary (up to GBP80k), our client is offering equity options and the chance for the individual significant progression opportunities during their growth phases over the coming years.
