We're defining the digital future of nationwide catering. This role will play a key part in achieving this strategy!

Acting as the enterprise architect and engineering lead for Elior UK's technology function, this strategic role is responsible for the technology strategy and engineering delivery in collaboration with Elior UK CIO and Group technology senior management team.

You will create an ecosystem for business colleagues to work closely with the technology function and define the company's technology strategy, blueprint and roadmap, you will be reporting to the CIO.

Job Description

Your key responsibilities as the Head of IT Strategy & Engineering will consist of:

– Lead technology strategy forums with digital and retail frontline operations, and central support functions.
– Compare best in class technology offerings from the market, leverage Group technology innovations and technology partners.
– Own Elior UK's strategic technology blueprint, roadmap and investment plan.
– Evaluate new technology propositions as per demand from pre–sales teams for client tenders.

– Proposes the Tech Systems strategy for the UK business.
– Ensure engineering team delivers quality solutions to meet business needs in agreed budgets and timescales.
– Functionally supervises direct reports including assessing their / the team s professional competence.
– Ensures the recruitment and selection of high–quality integration and engineering colleagues.
– Proactively promotes talent within the company and builds external relationships to attract talent to the company.
– Leads and is accountable for the Enterprise Architect, Integration, Engineering and Data function, annual plan, budget and activities.
– Proactively advises the CIO, Presales and Leadership Team, on solutions related issues.
– Oversees the development and execution of budgets.
– Manages third party relationships, agreed solution deliveries and budgets as required.
– Ensures the long–term strategic development of the team.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Skills and Experience

The experience and knowledge we are looking for from our future Head of IT Strategy & Engineering include:

– Enterprise experience of full technology lifecycle.
– Experience of delivering strategy and solution architecture with the Food & Beverage, Retail or Catering industry sectors.
– Experience of leading engineering teams.
– System integrations specifically MDM (Master Data Management) integrations with core functions.
– RPA automation such as Blueprism and/or UIPath.
– Data & analytics including experience of PowerBI.
– Ability to work at a strategic level with proven experience of turning vision into reality.
– Financially astute with ability to build, manage and deliver complex budgets.

This role is based in London with some travel.
