Our client is a growing scientific manufacturing company which operates globally and is part of an international group.

Your new role

Reporting to the CFO, this newly created role will support and lead on the Company's operational financial accounting, planning, reporting and controlling activities, ensuring that they are carried out effectively, efficiently and in line with the best practice.

This broad and varied role will be supporting the monthly financial statements and accounts, including month end and year end consolidated reports, balance sheet reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and will prepare cashflow forecasts. You will prepare and update monthly product costings and margin analysis, analyse global revenue figures and produce performance reports on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis as required by the CFO. The creation of business cases for new products in order to support the Commercial Operation will be a key element of the role as well as assisting with the month end close processes as needed. You will support the budgeting process, independently utilise excel to develop and build new reports to produce analysis of results and ensure accounting standards are adhered to for financial transactions and reporting.

Other elements of the role will include completion and submission of global tax filing requirements, monthly review of tax position and liaison with external tax advisors and the review or completion of monthly Group Balance Sheet Reconciliations as needed.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for preparation of and delivery of reports and analyses. You will have a high level of integrity, being trustworthy and respectful of confidential information, as well as resourceful and able to work alone, but fully able to provide input to executive team decision making processes. You will have confidence in liaising with regulatory representatives and professionals in external organisations, have intermediate/advanced Excel skills and strong business modelling and problem solving skills.
