Chief Engineer

Experience of managing capital expansion projects from an engineering perspective?

Come from a Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background and have experience of delivering high level projects?

We are exclusively working on this new and unique position with our client who operate within the manufacturing sector. Our client is looking for a Chief Engineer to drive forwards expansion and growth projects for the business. Our client continues to experience solid, sustainable and continuous growth and as such, is now looking to expand their operations in South Wales.

The successful candidate will be someone that can manage multiple multi–million pound projects at the same time and that can come up with innovative and creative solutions and to be able to see the wider picture and implications of decisions.

My client operates within a regulated sector and this role will also eventually be taking over line management responsibilities for the existing Engineering team so someone that is coming from a Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical background would be ideally suited to this position.

Key responsibilities:

• Overseeing and managing engineering works and site development projects from start to finish
• Hiring and managing sub–contractors where needed
• Be able to provide technical oversight and input for all projects
• Generate project business cases
• Management of resources
• Ensuring projects stay on track and are delivered on time and to budget
• Reporting progress to the Senior Management Team
• Work with energy efficiency in mind and make ongoing environmental improvements where possible
