The Financial Controller for Management Accounting will lead a team of 10 and take ownership for management accounts production and business partnering for the Region.

Our client are an international business and household name brand within the Retail industry.

Description

* Support the FD with providing a high performing management accounts function delivering accurate monthly management accounts and insightful commentary in line with deadlines
* Delivering a suite of standardised reporting required for the Region
* Support the planning and forecasting process
* Internal control and compliance responsibility shared with the Financial Controller - Transactional
* Leading, developing and motivating the management accounts team supporting the region with timely and insightful management accounts to enable efficient effective decision making by the leadership team
* Collaboration with other Financial Controllers and Business Partners to support key deliverables relating to (but not exclusively) Statutory accounts, automation, prioritisation, removing workload and process/efficiency improvements.
* Visible proactive leader across the finance function supporting timely PDR's and plans for succession planning and development
* Deputising for the FD when required.

Profile

* A highly experienced accounting leader with a strong track record of building / coaching and developing high performing teams
* A well-organised approach to long-term deadlines and an ability to respond calmly, but effectively under pressure
* Well developed knowledge of SAP and ideally other systems utilised within the business (COGNOS, TM1, Oracle etc)
* Proven ability to lead the teams prioritising and adding value in line with strategic objectives
* An agile and dynamic approach to problem solving and a desire to focus effort on what is important to support the strategic agenda of the business rather than constantly dealing with urgent issues arising daily.
