Senior Finance Manager

Senior Finance Manager Initial 6 months GBP550–GBP650/day London

Altum Consulting are looking for an experienced interim Senior Finance Manager with strong knowledge of IFRS 16 to support an international multi–site retailer across a commercial property project.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience and strong technical knowledge across multi–site retailer / property accounting treatments including lease accounting, store open and closure accounting, and impairments.
• Business partner with key stakeholders for the project; finance, retail, project finance, group and property teams.
• Provide detailed reviews and deep analysis of cost models for store openings, closures and operations that communicate the context and meaning of the numbers, then inform the senior business partners.
• Run end–to–end cost models and ensure they are provided according to deadlines; year end, half year and committee meetings liaising closely with finance, group finance, FP&A, property and retail teams.
• Align models to timelines agreed with the property and retail teams, ensuring the models provided are usable and are a true reflection of the live project itself.
• Be a point of contact for technical accounting queries that would typically arise from property finance, auditors and business partnering teams.
• Have a strong understanding of IFRS 16, and be comfortable reviewing half year and year end balances under IFRS 16.
• Ad–hoc accounting tasks and support to operational, UK & International finance teams.

Key Skills:

• Must be a fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant
• A technical background from practice or industry in IFRS 16 and IAS 16 & 36
• Strong communicator verbally and written, and be able to build strong relationships quickly
• Have experience across complex and international projects in a multi–site, property and/or retail/FMCG industry
• Understanding of big data packages
• Immediately available preferable
