Programme Director - Group Resilience (12 Month FTC)

This role will have high visibility within Sky: you will be working with all parts of the organisation as you co–ordinate and align end–to–end operational resilience programmes with the resiliency operations for Sky Technology's critical & major platforms and services. You will be building a new cross–functional team of Group Resilience and Technology Resilience, seeking to align ways of working, priorities and roadmaps.

• Leading complex programmes in relation to Business, Operational, Technology and Cyber Resilience, from the early stage of initiation to the final implementation.

• Exercise all the attributes expected within the role including scope management, plan management, budgetary control, change control, risk and issue management.

• Use operational and technology resilience experience to provide structure and guidance to the overall programme and to be the calm voice of reason within the programme to ensure the focus is on the key priorities.

• Build strong and collaborative relationships across the business, operational and delivery areas and to be seen as a trusted Business Resilience delivery resource. This will include building cohesive and efficient matrix cross functional delivery teams.

• Build collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders across business, operational and delivery areas as a 'trusted advisor', in order to align on recommendations, guide them towards feasible solutions, resolve issues and agree delivery strategy without disrupting delivery initiatives.

• Build collaborative and close relationships with Technology and Cyber to ensure alignment across scope, architecture, governance and plans in all initiatives you work on.

• Support risk evaluation, concept shaping and evaluation in the very early stages of the initiative to develop the working relationship between Group Resilience and Technology. This will include providing business case support, early planning and leading the initiation stage to ensure a recommendation is made in as expedient a manner as possible.

• You will have strong knowledge centred around Operational, Technology Resilience, Disaster Recovery and Cyber Security.

• Experience in programme delivery for policies and solutions that operate across multi–platform, multi–organisation, and complex technologies.

• You will have a pragmatic, results and delivery, oriented mindset, with a track record of having facilitated either Operational Resilience, Technology Resilience and Cyber Security for very large cross–enterprise initiatives, ideally in industry related to Sky's core products, but this domain experience is not essential. We want people who have delivered large initiatives from start to finish and have experienced all phases of a delivery lifecycle.

• You are a brilliant communicator and listener, who is able to translate messages and simplify and summarise problems in a straightforward and succinct manner.

• We want you to be flexible in your approach and be able to adapt your style and methods to get the best out of the business in delivering a programme. Being able to recognise when things are not working and need changing is core to what we are looking for.

• You will have vision, drive, diplomacy and the ability to make things happen in an environment of ambiguity, complexity and multiple stakeholders, being able to influence others without direct authority.

• We need you to be an amazing facilitator who is able to resolve tension and increase collaboration towards shared goals in any situation, and who is able to build effective relationships with a range of individuals at all levels in the organisation.

• You will be comfortable in quickly grasping ideas in both familiar and unfamiliar domains, and you will be able to use your business acumen and understanding of Sky's strategic objectives to prioritise and shape these ideas to aid the delivery of the programme.
