Pratap Partnership are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a rapidly growing PE backed business in West Yorkshire with sites across the North of England, to help in the appointment of an Interim CFO. This role is a critical hire for a business going through a significant phase and requires an experienced CFO with a track record within private equity to offer stability to an existing finance function and provide financial leadership during a period of change. The role will report into the CEO, leading a finance team, and a wider team across different business units. The successful interim candidate will offer a period of financial stewardship, stability and leadership during this tenure, and critically, be very strong commercially.

Purpose:

The CFO will provide a mix of relevant and proven experience with functional and commercial skill, while being a positive cultural fit within the group and the leadership team. The CFO will fully participate as a member of the Exec Board, and be involved in the planning, management and execution of the business strategy and delivery of planned outcomes, as well as being a custodian of the finance function. The interim finance director must be able to challenge where appropriate and offer ideas for change in line with company vision and values.

CFO Role Overview:

  • Working alongside the Exec Board, the Finance Director will be commercially aware and be able to work closely with the Board around setting and leading all aspects of financial strategy, including commercial business partnering with operations, and other business units. The CFO will lead a team across different business units The role will be located in the outskirts of Leeds
The Person

  • An experienced Finance Director or CFO and qualified member of an accountancy body (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Experience within Private Equity Commercially astute and articulate Influential leader with the ability to stand their ground, provide challenge and willing to operate at both strategic and operational levels Ability to handle the pressure of a rapidly growing business Able to make and follow through on critical decisions Energetic and highly motivated
Duties and Responsibilities

  • To work closely with the Executives and Non-Executives as part of the team leading the business Leader of the company finance function As part of the leadership team, contribute to the development of the business plan across all areas, challenging assumptions and decision making, and provide the financial analysis and guidance on all activities and plans. Oversee cash flow forecasting Review the financial information, recommend and take actions as required to improve profitability Take responsibility for management information and reporting to the board Ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies Maintain and develop relationships with all internal and external stakeholders To develop the financial and operational KPI reporting and management information Ensure that all financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
