Interim Finance Manager required for an independent school in Great Malvern

Your new role
You will be working as an Interim Finance Manager for a period of approx 3 months. The role is based on site in Great Malvern.
You will be overseeing the AR/ / AP / payroll functions and supporting through year end, which is coming up now. Managing a small team of 3 people.
Duties including manage the school's financial information systems (WCBS Pass), ensuring the accurate and timely administration of all financial and accounting data including, daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations, bank, Petty Cash and Credit Cards, payments, purchase and sales ledger, 3rd Party accounts, such as Amazon & PayPal.
Manage billing, including oversee the sales ledger (mostly school fees) activity, including the raising and logging of invoices and allocation of payments received, produce month end sales ledger analysis and statements of account and chase debtors to ensure prompt payment, oversee 15-hour Free Educational Entitlement, oversee Childcare Vouchers, oversee third party School Fee Plan administration. be the main contact for billing queries, manage accounts payable, including , oversee the purchase ledger, oversee the logging and reconciliation of invoices, oversee the coding of costs, oversee payment of invoices,, oversee expenditure analysis for financial and administrative aspects
Manage Payroll team
Produce accurate and timely reports as required, including:
Support the production of management accounts for the Director of Finance, aged creditors & debtors, prepayments, accruals, registration fees, deposits, charity donations
At Year End prepare a year-end file of schedules and supporting documentation in readiness for audit, journals, accounts and reports for the year-end accounting process, liaise with accountants to assist external audit and accounts preparation
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will be CCAB qualified or QBE and are flexible. Experience managing a finance function, ideally in an education setting , but flexible.
Good people management skills
Strong excel skills
