Commercial Contracts Officer Needed!

Initial 6 month contract, with the possibility of extension.

£££ - flexible depending upon experience.

Our client is in need of an Interim Contracts Officer to join their sizable in-house team. You will provide a high standard of professional service support in relation to commercial contracts. As a Contracts Officer you will draft and have oversight of accurate legal contracts, predominantly relating to apprenticeships and partnerships. This role requires someone able to communicate effectively with external and internal stakeholders at all levels. You will also produce initial and periodic due diligence reports to inform organisational decision making, compliant with external and internal Regulator requirements, policy and procedures. You may also identify areas for change to enhance operational activities.

The successful candidate will act as an institutional point of contact for the provision of expert advice to academic colleagues and partners with regard to university academic, legal and financial due diligence, quality and ESFA and University compliance requirements for apprenticeships, transnational education and UK collaborative partnerships. This role may also require attention to international jurisdictional and licencing requirements for educational provision.

A proven track record drafting, negotiating and checking commercial contracts is key. The ideal candidate will be able to confidently challenge areas of non-compliance, with agreed standards and regulations as required. You will ensure that appropriate legal advice is taken on complex matters and that contracts are appropriately reviewed and signed by the relevant individuals prior to issue.

You will have experience producing high quality written work such as drafting legal contracts for the full range of academic partnerships and apprenticeships, due diligence reports, programme approval events and correspondence to external partners and internal and external stakeholders.

This is a rare opportunity to be heavily involved in the commercial and compliance process within this large organisation. It is a great opportunity for an already experienced Contracts expert to build on their CV and take the lead on important compliance matters.
