The MD is looking to appoint a strong and experienced Financial Director to operate as his "finance business partner" to support the business on this exciting "journey".

This therefore represents a fantastic opportunity to join this successful company at a pivotal stage of its future development - the successful candidate who goes on to "make their mark" will also be rewarded with an Equity stake in the business going forward.

The brief:
  • Recruit and develop a strong in-house Finance team to ensure the robust delivery of timely and accurate financial and management information.
  • Operate as a key member of the Leadership Team to manage the business on a day-to-day basis.
  • Develop MI/KPI's to highlight key business trends and proactively support and influence key decision making processes.
  • Establish bottom-up annual budgets across all business operations and regular forecasts.
  • Direct interface with major customers to support Contract tenders and new business opportunities.
  • Develop and professionalise the wider business infrastructure to ensure it is "fit for purpose" to successfully attract and benefit from the forthcoming significant Investment.
  • Act as direct contact with all professional stakeholders - Bank, Investors, Auditors, Advisors, Tax authorities etc.
  • Overall, play a key role to ensure the business fully exploits its ongoing optimal profitable growth opportunities and longer-term successful strategy.
Candidate profile:
  • The successful candidate will be an experienced qualified accountant who can demonstrate a successful track record and proven experience of playing their part in a similar successful SME profit centre business.
  • You must be "hands-on" with a strong "do it now" energetic and focused approach to positively address key business priorities.
  • High personal standards, possess the confidence and professionalism to engender total trust and respect across all levels of the company as well as with business customers and external professional contacts.
  • The "right" person will undoubtedly be the key factor in this selection process - in addition, specific experience in a similar Industrial Manufacturing/Contracting sector environment would also be an advantage.
The Package:
  • My client will offer a competitive starting salary and benefits package to attract their preferred candidate.
  • In addition, this represents a tremendous opportunity to be rewarded with the significant incentive of Equity participation on proving your value to the business after a qualifying period.
Please send your CV in strictest confidence to Martin Morgan, the retained consultant. All strong relevant applicants can expect a prompt direct response.
