We are recruiting an Interim CFO for a PE backed technology business (£40m-£45m) based in Oxfordshire.
Working with the newly appointed CEO, you will be responsible for making the finance function fit for a PE backed business.
Key responsibilities:
Experienced CFO / FD, immediately available, or available on short notice. Previous exposure to highly leveraged situations, i.e., used to working with banks / banking covenants. PE background, an understanding of the outputs that investors require, i.e., rolling 13-week cashflow forecasts. International exposure, i.e., cash repatriation. A strong leadership profile. Able to assess and implement financial best practice in a PE backed, SME environment. An affinity with the technology sector.
I anticipate that you will need to be on the ground / in the business for at least three days per week especially in the first three months. I expect that this assignment will last for a minimum of six months, probably longer; potentially there is a permanent opportunity here for the right individual.

- Oversee Finance function across the group, which includes several different countries.
- Carry out a ‘root and branch’ analysis of the Finance function, devising and implementing a plan for improvement covering systems, processes and people Improve the finance and management reporting function.
- Support the Board through the preparation of robust and accurate budgets, forecasts and financial reports.
- Oversee the implementation of new systems and controls to ensure the efficient management of the company’s finances.
- Management of external audit and banking relationships.
- Effective stakeholder management (PE Investor & Shareholders).
