This enhances our U.S operational presence in Maryland, complements Vaccitech s established capabilities and reinforces our position as a fast–growing global leader in immunotherapies and vaccines. Vaccitech's UK headquarters has recently moved to a state–of–the–art facility in the UK's leading science and innovation campus at Harwell. We conduct research globally and have ambitious plans in the UK and US, where we will continue to grow our teams over the coming months and years.
The role
To support Vaccitech s continued growth we are seeking a senior programme management leader to manage our team of Programme Managers in the US and UK, which currently has a headcount of four Programme Managers. We have a modest target of doubling team personnel over the next year. The Head of Programme Management will be responsible for driving this growth as well as giving strategic oversight for the direction of the team, the portfolio and accountability for the budget . Leading from the front, the Head of Programme Management will also take hands–on responsibility for managing at least one programme within the business.
Qualifications and experience required
The successful candidate will possess a graduate degree in a life science discipline and have a minimum of 10 years experience of programme and/or senior management in a small to mid–sized biotech. Early, through late phase clinical development experience in immunotherapeutics and vaccines will be a distinct advantage. PMP/PgMP or Axelos PRINCE2/MSP certification is also advantageous.
You are a confident business leader who can effectively communicate, influence and command respect at all levels of the organisation. You possess demonstrable leadership skills and experience.
