Business Development Manager
Our client based throughout the East Midlands is one of the UK s largest bus operators with a team of 1,300 fabulous people running 480 buses on a mix of urban, rural and coastal services across East Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire. They are looking for someone innovative, creative and enthusiastic to help lead an amazing, talented commercial team as they rebuild the region s bus network for customers, using new ideas and pioneering technology.
What the role entails:
Liaising with third parties to identify new markets for their services.
Assisting with commercial network planning and development
Identifying, preparing and managing tender and contract bids
Monitoring service performance, identifying trends and formulating plans
Leading a scheduling team to deliver network improvements
Building relationships with key stakeholders including local authorities, businesses and community groups
What you will need for this role:
A real people person, focused on exceeding customer expectations, forming excellent working relationships with stakeholders, and looking after the needs of the commercial team.
Experienced in the transport sector ideally skilled in network planning, scheduling, tendering, data analysis, and finance.
Comfortable and familiar with using new technology to manage customer information, fleet and data flows.
Innovative and flexible in your approach to new challenges, able to adapt to a constantly changing competitive market.
