You're a skilled Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager, ideally selling technical solutions into the transportation sector. You're looking for the chance to lead the way as we build our brand new sales team and want the freedom (and support) to grow business your way.
BASIC SALARY: Up to GBP45,000
BENEFITS:
cGBP10,000 commission in Year 1 but uncapped as based on New Business Generation

LOCATION: This is a National role so you'll probably live in or around the Midlands or South of the UK, ideally – Birmingham, Leicester, Northampton, Luton, Oxford, Swindon, Reading Slough, High Wycombe, Watford, Cambridge, Peterborough.

Our comprehensive range of electronic components, CCTV and access control systems are used by wide range of market sectors including:
Logistics & Supply Chain
Blue–light
Rail / Rolling Stock
Buses & Coaches
Systems integrators
Using your highly consultative sales approach and senior level negotiation skills, you'll be closing high value deals typically ranging between GBP100k –GBP300k. You'll have a constant eye open for cross–sell and upsell opportunities and always be on the lookout for ways to increase market share.
This will be a predominantly new business role in your early days, but you'll keep and grow your accounts so as time goes on the role will develop to include a mix of new business and account management.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Business Development Manager, Area Sales Manage, Regional Sales Manager – technical solutions – transport
You'll be a highly self–sufficient, Business Development Manager, Area Sales Manager or Regional Sales Manager with a proven track record of technology or component sales to the Transport Sector and / or Systems Integrators.
In addition you will:
Be highly consultative in nature, ideally able to understand a customers technical requirements and translate these into a workable solution.
Be self–motivated – used to sourcing your own leads and see these leads through conversion to successful conversion.
Have the capability and discipline to work independently from home and used to territory planning & prioritizing your workload.
Be used to creating your own quotations.
Above all, you'll bring the drive and tenacity to work with our Sales Director to create a strategic sales plan, take that plan to market and achieve the goals you set.
