Finance Manager
Are you looking for a new and exciting role where you can enhance an organisations growth? One of my clients in Edinburgh are looking for an experienced Finance manager to come join them on a full–time and permanent basis. This position would suit a management accountant who has strong managerial experience or a finance manager who is looking for a new exciting venture. The ideal candidate will have experience within an SME and can bring new & innovative ideas to a growing organisation.
The key responsibilities include:
Liaise with different departments across the organisation including, billing, cashroom and AML
Ensure credit control is working effectively and the most efficient it can
Ensure all policies, procedures and processes are in line with relevant guidance
Continuously looking for improvements to ensure processes are maintained at a high standard
Prepare financial analysis when required
Profitability reporting
Preparation of Cashflow and profit & loss forecasting
Annual budgets
Preparation and submission of business statutory requirements including VAT returns, PAYE statements and P11D
Monthly payroll sign off
Yearend accounts
Tax analysis
Provide guidance and training within he finance team
Essential skills / competencies
UK recognised accounting qualification i.e. ACCA, CIMA etc
Robust communication and organisational skills
Experience working within a small team is essential
IT literate
Open to learning new procedures and systems
