Associate Project Manager for a Consultancy
Due to my clients continuing success and growth, they are now looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their experienced project management team. If you are a confident communicator who is able to develop relationships with internal and external clients / stakeholders, this role offers caeer progression within a well know consultancy and support to develop your individual skillset.
Role and Responsibilities:
Lead on development, submission and approval of full business cases
Manage multidisciplinary schemes assigning / oversee internal and external resources required for both development and delivery of projects
Establish detailed client s brief and responsibilities of consultants and specialists
Advise on / implement the selection and appointment of all necessary consultants and specialists
Co–ordinate and obtain planning consents and all necessary statutory approvals
Interview and select contractors for tendering or negotiation, evaluate tenders received and appoint contractor
Chair progress, co–ordination and project meetings throughout the contract period
Prepare regular reports to clients on all aspects of the project inspection, scheduling and acceptance of works required under the defects liability and maintenance provisions of the contract
Liaise with and manage internal (including typical local authority departments) and external stakeholders (including residents, businesses, local / Cabinet members, and statutory authorities)
Experience and Skills Required:
The ability to lead a series of projects and Client relationships, with limited support
Proficient in the use of MS Office and particularly MS Project is essential
Commercial awareness and knowledge / management of the NEC suite of contracts or similar
Significant experience working as a Client Side Project Manager through development and delivery stages of a project with relevant professional qualifications
Experience of working on major highways and transportation infrastructure projects including Active Travel, with construction values up to GBP30m
Health & Safety leader experienced in working in compliance with the CDM 2015 Regulations
