The Account Manager is responsible for managing the relationship with designated L2 clients and subject matter experts and for owning and project managing the account management plan for their clients. They act as a consultant to their clients and a thought leader in their industry sector, delivering a clear value proposition that drives and grows their collaboration and engagement in BioPhorum s community. They use their client and industry insight to contribute to impactful program and workstream development, identifying and escalating growth and value opportunities. They work collaboratively with other teams including facilitation, events and growth to deliver exceptional work for their clients.
Main responsibilities
Manage designated L2 client relationships
Build and manage the relationship between BioPhorum and approximately 30 designated clients within your Phorum, growing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships such that they trust and value your opinion and insight
Provide a clear value proposition for each client, coaching them in their enhanced engagement with BioPhorum and in extracting value from BioPhorum activities
Run regular (6–weekly or as agreed with your client) account calls that maximise engagement, collaboration and value and drive the retention of your clients
Deliver exceptional client service, identifying and resolving issues before they arise
Work with client program managers where they exist to ensure clients have the data they need from BioPhorum
Drive and manage impactful and profitable Phorum program
Ensure effective client feedback into the Phorum and use this to drive program development
Manage the Phorum program, partnering with facilitators to ensure delivery against client needs
Identify opportunities for driving value development and business growth and highlight these to the Phorum Lead
Use client and industry insight to contribute to the Phorum value proposition and to identify and develop workstream opportunities
Drive exceptional client service
Own and manage the account management strategy for each designated account, driving the delivery of the value proposition, income and profitability targets
Project manage and execute the account plan including running regular account calls, mapping risk and opportunities, managing account health and resolving the complaints process
Contribute to the Large Account Management Plan for your clients and escalate risks and opportunities to the Lead Account Manager
Monitor workstream performance for each client, ensuring reporting across all account activity and the escalation of risks and opportunities
Produce data on workstream performance, contributing to the production of the account packs and identifying insights for further work
Work collaboratively with other teams including facilitation, events, marketing and growth to ensure the client delivery team is resourced effectively and to deliver exceptional work for your clients
Skills required
A deep knowledge of the biopharmaceutical sector with a passion for harnessing the power of collaboration to creating industry changing programs
A self–starter with experience of building successful client relationships, adding value to clients and driving revenue in a similar high–growth biopharmaceutical business
Working knowledge of a consultancy environment. An ability to think strategically and to balance delivery and attention to detail with innovation and achievement
Experience of inspiring and motivating a cross–functional team
A strong communicator. Able to convey gravitas with internal and external audiences, customers and partners
Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast paced environment with the ability to execute with excellence and speed
