Our client is one of the UK's leading contractors undertaking, refurbishment, residential, commercial, education and hospitality developments.

The need now exists for a Senior Estimator / Head of Estimating to join the team out of their regional office in Slough. This position is offering hybrid working, 3–4 days from home and 1–2 days from the Slough office.

You will be working for the property services division, so previous experience in refurb/decent homes/maintenance or residential is essential.

Responsibilities include:

Organise, plan, prioritise and monitor tender workload for the team. To ensure that tenders and cost estimates are produced accurately to pre–determined deadlines.
Producing a robust achievable profit plan for presentation at adjudication.
Evaluate tender enquiry documentation, report on risks and input into risk register (with input from others). To identify potential project risks for presentation at the tender adjudication.
Ensure that all qualifications and clarifications that form the basis of the bid are logged and raised in a timely manner in advance of the tender adjudication to enable them to be considered and agreed whether to be included within the Contractors Proposals/tender submission.
Ensure the team follow the Gateway 1–6 process's.
Represent the company at Client meetings as required in a professional manner to ensure that the companies image and reputation is maintained, and the best possible tender outcome is achieved.
Support in the Preparation of bills of quantities for projects, take off measurements from drawings, and provide line ups on quotes.
Prepare commercial documents for handover to Quantity Surveyors.
Ensure tenders are submitted completely and accurately and within the time scale provided.
Attend tender adjudication meetings, keep records of risks, qualifications, pricing assumptions. Present the financial element of the tender in a clear, concise, accurate and consistent manner.
Attend procurement meetings and input into procedures and systems.
Attend start–up/handover meetings and brief production team on projects secured.
Ensure that future market trends are fully considered in the preparation of cost estimates and cost plans
Obtain internal and external feedback on tender submissions, and ensure lessons learnt are incorporated into future bids.In return, our client is offering a basic salary between GBP85k – GBP90k + full package & bonus
