Great role, managing month end management accounts, variance analysis, new business opportunities, projects, financial reporting, stat accounts, VAT and audit.

Robert Walters are exclusively recruiting an exciting new Financial Controller position with a high growth SME business based near Hatfield. The Financial Controller will produce accurate and relevant MI, produce monthly management accounts incorporating detailed P&L's for each Business Unit, maintain the books of account and meet deadlines for the filing of VAT, PAYE returns etc. as well as working on additional ad–hoc projects associated with the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
The Financial Controller will be responsible for:
Production of monthly management accounts within 6 working days of the month end
Production and enhancement of weekly MI dashboard
Management of cash collections and payments, production of cash–flow forecasts
Assistance with the preparation and completion of year end accounts together with annual audit
Accurate and timely posting of books of account onto accounting software
Regular reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts and bank accounts
Overseeing, processing and updating of stock takes and stock movements onto stock accounts.
Posting of monthly journals for depreciation, stock, accruals, prepayments, payroll, VAT etc.
Preparation of inter–company account reconciliations
Preparation and filing of VAT returns and payments to HMRCProfile:
We are ideally looking for an ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified accountant, trained in practice accountancy firm or industry looking for an all–round Financial Controller role.
On Offer:
Circa GBP60,000 – GBP70,000 plus bonus and benefits in a fats paced exciting company.
The role is based in the corporate offices working with the senior management team and managing two staff
